Brime Plavac mali is Rizmans base red wine and is made from the most famous local red variety of plavac mali. It has been proven that this variety is the successor of the variety tribidrag, which is better known around the world as zinfandel or primitivo.
Plavac mali yields the best results on the steep south-facing slopes of Dalmatia, such as our locations in the winegrowing area of Komarna. The winegrowing area of Komarna distinguishes itself with its organic vineyards, which are also home to plavac mali, as well as with a terroir that gives exceptional acidity and freshness to wines.
Brime is aged in barrique oak barrels, made from French oak that gives it a subtler and gentler oak expression.
Beautiful rich on the nose. Robust and bold color. Subtle pure aromas and smooth from start to finish. Soft on tannins and super light body. Red fruit, cherry and raspberries mixed with light dark fruit notes, plum and blackberry. Bit acidity, lively and oaky notes. Presents balanced acidity with dark fruit notes and earthy hints.
With Brime Rizman is able to offer a label with an affordable price for a wine that well represents this variety and all its characteristics. It is a plavac style that will be enjoyed everywhere, no matter summer or winter.
